How To Get Rid of Foot Odor

Hi there – Im having a real problem and desperately want to know how to get rid of foot odor!

My feet will smell really bad even if I’ve only been sitting at my desk for a few hours. Its really noticeable, and now I can see my work colleagues holding their nose every time they walk past my work station, or the girl sitting a few feet away from me will sigh & make a comment like “GOD, SHE STINKS REALLY BAD TODAY”, then spray her air-freshener towards me.

I have been ignoring her & everyone else, but when I get home, I just feel so hopeless & depressed. If I could just figure out how to get rid of foot odor then I wouldn’t have to take 3 pairs of socks to work, plus foot powder, plus anti-bacterial soap, and wash my feet at work 3-4 times a day with no success.

I went to a Podiatrist, who told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with my feet – I think she owes me a refund, because my Work Colleagues will tell her different!

Please offer any helpful solutions to this foot odor nightmare!

Thanks
L

    Hi L,

Wow that is a sad story to hear! Your co-workers actually make fun of you? That’s pretty bogus and immature.

Anyway, we’ll help you get rid of foot odor – there are some specific things that you should try.

    1. Is it your shoes? Look closely @ the shoes that you’re wearing. How old are they? Are they stinky themselves? Do they allow your feet to breathe?

    2. Chlorophyll. Alot of people have success with this. Chlorophyll is actually a pigment that’s found naturally in plants. You can read about one person’s success with chlorophyll and body odor here.

    3. Fresh herbs. A part of the reason that chlorophyll works is b/c it’s plant based. Eating fresh herbs like basil, mint, thyme, and oregano in larger-than-normal quantities has been effective for body odor. Try munching on it alongside your food.

    4. Deodorant. One thing that could potentially get rid of foot odor immediately is a regular deodorant. Try simply applying it to the soles of your feet, your heals, and your toes before leaving the house and see what happens.

    5. Baking soda. This user had a huge success using baking soda to combat odor. Read about it (with instructions) here.

    6. Deodorite. This company called Native Remedies sells a formula called Deodorite that is administered orally and is supposed to stop B.O. effectively. I haven’t heard many people talking about it as a way to learn how to get rid of FOOT odor specifically, but that’s worth a shot too. Read more on deodorite here.

    7. Mental strategies. It doesn’t seem like it would have a direct impact on foot odor, but the way you’re thinking on a day-to-day basis effects your whole life. This isn’t the place for me to tell you everything about this, but you can read more about it in the “Mind” section of this site.
