Robinal and Sweating

Hey, I have only been using Robinal for about 2 weeks now to help with sweating. I don’t see a difference yet, but I was told that it would take 3 weeks to take effect, and then i might need to increase my dose.

I was just wondering how exactly your trial of the drug went? How long did it take to work, your side effects, and how high of a Robinal dosage it took to get you feeling comfortable.

P.S. I just found your site, and I think it’s amazing. Just to be so open with your experience, and provide a channel of communication for others. I wish this existed back when I first started suffering, although, at the time I had no idea what was up with me!

    Hi Danielle,

I never actually used Robinul myself, although I’ve done tons of research on it, and worked with some sweaters that had used it in the past. The main ingredient, glycopyrrolate, is said to be useful in stopping the chemical reactions within your body that cause sweating.

Does it work? The jury’s still out on it.

Over the last couple years I have talked to some Hyperhidrosis sufferers that reported good results after using it for several months. Probably 2-3 of them. But I’ve also spoken with other sweaters that used it for a few months, and then abandoned it because of others side effects that they didn’t like.

Lastly, I’ve heard from other HH sufferers that use Robinul only for stressful situations. For instance, if they have a job interview, or a date that they’re nervous about or something, they’ll take Robinul like 30 minutes to an hour before the event, and claimed to have received some relief from that.

    My advice?

I’d say to try the Robinul for a while and see how it works for you. While you’re using that would be a perfect time to ‘Stack’ some other stuff on top of it. Lots of people report having good results with special Hyperhidrosis Antiperspirants while using Robinul. Some people even say that an HH Anti-P that didn’t work for them before was effective while they were on Robinul.

Also, read around the rest of the site for other ‘Stackers.’ There are tons of them written about on the site.

    Good luck.
