DRIPPING sweat!

Pagan
Location: Ireland

My friend (really!) is literally DRIPPING sweat after a 20 minute set of drumming.

It’s really bad.

There is no smell, its just sweat. But there’s literally not a dry spot on him!

It’s sad because his fans want a hug at the end of his set and he can’t because he is soaking! As if he just dived into a pool!

Please, if there are any special deoderants or even specially made tops let me know!!!!

    Hi there,

Yea, the dripping sweat problem that your buddy has definitely sucks. It’s pretty cool of you to help him seek out solutions for the perspiration problem. There are a few suggestions I have for you two:

    1. Education.

Hyperhidrosis is a common problem and there is a lot of research and documentation available for it. Start by reading the rest of this site and other sites like stopsweating.org.

Follow the action plan we lay out–

*Go to the doctor’s office and ask them about it.

*Find physical triggers–foods, drinks, etc. that cause more sweating and avoid them.

*Find mental triggers–certain thought patterns and situations exacberate sweating. Use mental tricks like relaxation, meditation, visualization, hypnosis, etc. that work.

*’Stack’. Stacking is just trying a bunch of different things until you find something that works for you. There are dozens of ‘Stackers’ your friend could try, and there are thousands of different combinations.

For instance, he could use a special Hyperhidrosis Antiperspirant, like Odaban (one combination). Or he could use Odaban and sage tea (two combinations). Or he could use Odaban, sage tea, and hypnosis (three combinations).

In this particular case, where one of your main concerns is hugging fans after a show, try this…

Tell your friend to wear only a small tank top as he plays. Also, have a towel ready. After the show, give him the towel to dry off before he hugs his fans. Having a small tank top on instead of a shirt will help b/c obviously your shirt doesn’t get as dry with a simple towel wipe.

Another thing you may want to look into are these special sweat-wikking shirts that they sell. You can get them from UnderArmour or from a specialty online retailer like kleinertsshields.com or advantagewear.com.

    Hope this helps, my friend.
