Body Odor Surgery

Hello, I am looking for information on body odor surgery. I am foreiner who came to U.S. 2 years ago and I still don’t speak English that well enough, and don’t know where to go.

Could you also send me a hospital that treats bromhidrosis around Dallas, Texas? And how much does it cost for bromhidrosis laser surgery?

Thanks.

Response from Josh:

Hi there,

I am sorry to hear about your body odor problem, unfortunately, I have heard the body odor surgery is not particularly effective.

The procedure that they use is basically a liposuction. They create a small hole in the underarm area and scrape or suck the sweat glands away. This sounds like it should work, but the only problem is that the sweat glands have a tendency to grow back.

However, if you still want to pursue the body odor surgery, I know that there are a few surgeons in Texas that will do this procedure. There aren’t necessarily any hospitals that treat it, but there are individual surgeons. You can find them by Googling “hyperhidrosis surgery texas”.

If you choose not to go with the bromhidrosis surgery, which is probably what I would recommend though I don’t know your whole situation, I encourage you to go back to the body odor support forum and read about some alternative treatments for bromhidrosis.

Hope this helps.

I had the sweat glands surgery 5 years ago but it did not help my body odor. I tried the liposuction twice but I still stink! The only thing that helped me was botox. But botox only works 3-6 months and it cost a lot of money.

I have tried 20 kinds of deodorant and nothing helps. I read about taking Magnesium. I will try it. I feel desperate. I am tired of this body odor smell. I need help.
